Welcome to the far distant future.

“A new era of roots music exploration”

“Irresistible apocalyptic fun”

“A dangerous yet worthwhile mission”

Live from the Moon is an original roots rock band from Canada’s heartland. Drawing comparisons to The Band, Old 97s, Jason Isbell and the late Justin Townes Earle, they craft original songs that are both meaningful and hard to forget.

Before their convergence as Live from the Moon, each member made their mark. Their work has been licensed by major motion pictures and an HBO television series, and their previous project was praised by the Saskatoon Star Phoenix as “Very good, very low down…★★★★” and described as “a good swift punch to the ears” by Exclaim. The Winnipeg Free Press even suggested they had ushered in a “whole new realm of listenability” and that it “could be album of the year, ★★★★★.”

They will be making their debut live appearance in early 2024.

  • Todd Hunter

Advanced space engineering background allows Todd to fabricate beats and harmonic frequencies even under the most difficult conditions, and then broadcast them into the deepest reaches of the universe.

  • Leo Kopelow

Reluctantly accepts missions and then relentlessly pursues objectives. Writes communiques and executes amplified strumming patterns.
